First on my list is to run a marathon. 26.2 miles doesn't seem to bad. I once ran 10 miles and used to run 3-5 miles a day for 2 years. With the proper training and diet, I believe that I can do it. I used to keep a running log of sneakers worn, weather, my start weight/finish weight, distance, time, and some thoughts I may have had.

What I'd really like to do before the marathon is run "Tough Mudder". If you're curious to what Tough Mudder, here's a link
http://toughmudder.com/
I could write a bunch about Tough Mudder, but I'll let you check out the website and let it "speak" for itself. I loved running when I was younger. I was introduced to it by my cousin Clarissa. There's something to be said about running on an early, brisk morning.
Next on my list is relearn the guitar...the electric guitar that is. A few years ago I was at that point where I was practicing everyday and I was transitioning into learning songs from hearing them a few times and such, then life happened. Now that I'm at a point in my life where it has calmed down...somewhat. I've always loved music and would love to make my own.
That grind of an electric guitar gets me pumped up. Hardcore is what I've been listening to for a while and just simple riffs are what I'd like to create. That's one of the main reasons I'd like to relearn the guitar. With that being said though, I do dream of potentially starting a band. This brings me to the third accomplishment on my before 40 list...piano

Learning how to play piano has been a dream of mine since I was a little guy. A few years ago I looked into finding a teacher, but the person I asked wasn't giving lessons anymore. I love listening to the piano and when I get around a piano, I like to mess around and create some little melody by tickling the ebony and ivory. I guess if I was passionate enough about it, I probably should have sought out another teacher, but I didn't....so yeah that's what is number three on my list.
The next thing I'd like to do before I turn 40 or before they break up(which I highly doubt will happen) is to see Pearl Jam in concert. I wish I could go back in time and see them during the tour of "Ten". This has been on the list since one of my friend's mom from high school bought us tickets to a show through Ticketmaster. That sucked when we informed her about the pending boycott of Ticketmaster and how they won't be playing at venues promoted by Ticketmaster. I've only really been to one concert and that was about 10 years ago. An ex and I saw DMB down at Foxboro. What an experience that was, to say the least.
I know there should be more on the list, but this is a blog and not a book, but finally I would like to get something published nationally. I've had a poem published, but I can't find the link to it. The poem was published on UMPI's "UpCountry". Here's the link: http://upcountryjournal.wordpress.com/
I should ask someone to see where my poem's located. I'm not sure what I want published....maybe I should get my ass in gear for that.
This list is just the cusp of what's on my life long list of things I'd like to accomplish. Running a marathon, playing guitar and piano, seeing a concert, and getting something published doesn't seem that impossible to accomplish before 40. I read somewhere that to accomplish your dreams you've got to get them out and down on paper....well this is close enough :)
